Q: When I select a sample and then try to export the sequencing detailed information into an excel spreadsheet, it is converting it to a .tsv file. Is there any other way to export this data to Excel?
A: When you view all samples, check all the data and hit ‘export’. The zip file will then be saved to your desktop (or any other location you choose). When you extract the folder, this will leave you with a folder of .tsv files, which can be opened in Excel by right clicking, opening, and choosing Excel. Alternately and more quickly, you can open a blank Excel file. Highlight all the files and drag them into the open Excel file, which will then open every file in Excel. You can then save the file in whatever format you choose (.xls, .xlxs, .csv, .tsv, etc).
