Dr. Desmarais is currently Vice President, Client Relations at Adaptive Biotechnologies, contributing to original research on the dynamics of the T Cell Receptor repertoire, as well as assisting immunoSEQ customers with the interpretation and visualization of their TCR sequencing data.
Dr. Desmarais began her career in genomics research working under Maynard Olson at the University of Washington Genome Center, assisting with the Human Genome Project sequencing initiative as well as a number of pathogen genome sequencing projects. She received a PhD in Computational and Molecular Biology from University of Washington, focusing on the study of polymorphisms and human-primate divergence in immune system genes. She also holds a BA degree in Biological Psychology from Carleton University, and a BSc degree in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia.
Catherine Sanders, Ph.D.

Dr. Sanders is currently a Senior Research Scientist at Adaptive Biotechnologies, assisting customers with project planning and data interpretation.
Dr. Sanders began her career as a post-doctoral fellow at the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology analyzing immune repertoire changes in cancer, autoimmune disease, and infectious disease.
She received a Ph.D. in immunopathology and a M.S. in pathology from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson where she focused on TLR, chemokine receptor, and cytokine expression in HIV-infected T lymphocyte subsets. She also holds a BS degree in medical technology from Mississippi State University and received her board certification (ASCP) from Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
